Summary

Amends the:

Bankruptcy Act 1966
and
Bankruptcy (Estate Charges) Act 1997
to facilitate implementation by the Insolvency and Trustee Service Australia of cost recovery arrangements by enabling the Minister to make legislative instruments to determine fees and charges;
Bankruptcy Act 1966
to: remove possible impediments to electronic service delivery; and clarify and update certain provisions; and
Bankruptcy (Estate Charges) Act 1997
to provide for an annual payment by bankruptcy trustees of realisations charge and interest charge rather than a twice yearly payment. Also repeals the
Bankruptcy (Registration Charges) Act 1997
